Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Additional certifications in CAD or BIM are an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar CAD software.
- Knowledge of BIM software (such as Revit or Bentley software) is often preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Understanding of civil engineering design principles, surveying, grading, drainage, and road design.
- Familiarity with local building codes, standards, and regulations.
Experience
- Entry-level positions may require internships or 0–2 years of experience.
- Mid-level roles typically require 3–5 years of civil design experience.
- Experience with infrastructure, land development, or water projects is often preferred.

Typical Responsibilities
- Create 2D and 3D civil engineering drawings.

- Assist with project documentation and cost estimates.
