Job Description – Laundry Worker
Position: Laundry Worker
Department: Housekeeping / Laundry Operations
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and pack laundry items as per company standards.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, ironing equipment, and other laundry machinery safely and efficiently.
- Inspect garments and linen for stains, damage, or special cleaning requirements.
- Apply appropriate washing and stain-removal techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the laundry area and equipment.
- Ensure proper segregation of laundry items based on fabric type, color, and washing instructions.
- Monitor detergent and laundry supply levels and report shortages.
- Follow safety procedures while handling chemicals and operating machinery.
- Maintain records of laundry processed, if required.
- Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting laundry items within the facility.
- Report machine malfunctions or maintenance requirements to the supervisor.
- Ensure timely completion of laundry work to meet operational requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 8th Pass / 10th Pass preferred.
- Basic knowledge of laundry operations and fabric handling.
- Ability to operate laundry equipment and machines.
- Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality.
- Ability to work in shifts and meet daily production targets.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
Experience:
- 0–2 years of experience in laundry operations, housekeeping, hospitality, healthcare, or industrial laundry services.
- Freshers can also apply.
Working Conditions:
- Standing for long periods.
- Handling laundry loads and operating machinery.
- Working in a fast-paced laundry environment.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
