Experience : Minimum 3 years in Die Maintenance (PDC)

1. Die Maintenance Management
- Plan, organize, and supervise preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for dies and tooling.
- Ensure dies are maintained in optimal working condition to meet production requirements.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules.
2. Team Supervision
- Lead and supervise die maintenance technicians, toolmakers, and fitters.
- Assign daily maintenance tasks and monitor completion.
- Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance personnel.
- Evaluate team performance and identify skill development needs.
3. Troubleshooting and Repair
- Analyze die failures, defects, and recurring issues.
- Coordinate die repair, modification, and refurbishment activities.
- Ensure root cause analysis is conducted for major breakdowns.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions.
4. Tooling Performance Monitoring
- Monitor die life, wear patterns, and tooling performance.
- Maintain records of die history, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Recommend design improvements to increase die life and productivity.
5. Production Support
- Coordinate with production, quality, and engineering departments to minimize downtime.
- Ensure timely availability of dies for production schedules.
- Support new product development and die trials.
6. Quality Assurance
- Verify repaired and maintained dies meet quality specifications.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and proper functioning of dies.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and defect reduction programs.
7. Safety and Compliance
- Enforce workplace safety procedures and standards.
- Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
8. Inventory and Spare Parts Control
- Monitor inventory levels of die components and spare parts.
- Coordinate procurement of critical tooling and consumables.
- Maintain tooling storage and identification systems.
9. Continuous Improvement
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), and Kaizen initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Drive improvements in die reliability, maintenance efficiency, and equipment availability.
10. Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare maintenance reports, downtime analysis, and KPI reports.
- Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and work orders.
- Track key metrics such as:
- Die uptime
- Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)
- Mean Time To Repair (MTTR)
- Tool life
- Maintenance cost
Typical Skills Required
- Knowledge of press tools, stamping dies, molds, and tooling systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Understanding of mechanical drawings, GD&T, and machining processes.
- Experience with CNC, EDM, grinding, welding, and fitting operations.
- Leadership and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of TPM, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and safety standards.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
