Group Finance Manager – Restaurant Group overseeing operations in Mangalore and Udupi.
Position Summary
The Group Finance Manager will lead the finance and accounting function for a multi-unit restaurant group operating across Mangalore and Udupi. The role is responsible for financial planning, budgeting, reporting, cash flow management, taxation, internal controls, compliance, Audit and business partnering with operations to improve profitability and drive growth. The position requires strong experience in hospitality/F&B finance, multi-outlet accounting, cost control, and team leadership.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
- Monitor outlet-wise revenue, profitability, and operating costs.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Support expansion projects, feasibility studies, and investment decisions.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Consolidate financial reports for all restaurant outlets.
- Present MIS reports, KPIs, and management dashboards to leadership.
- Provide insights on sales trends, margins, and profitability.
Restaurant Cost Control
- Monitor Food Cost %, Beverage Cost %, Labour Cost %, and Outlet EBITDA.
- Review menu costing, recipe costing, and yield reports.
- Analyze wastage, pilferage, and inventory variances.
- Work with operations teams to improve margins and efficiency.
Accounting & Compliance
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Manage GST, TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships.
- Monitor daily cash collections and outlet reconciliations.
- Optimize fund utilization and liquidity planning.
- Ensure adequate financial controls across outlets.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Implement and strengthen ERP, POS, and accounting systems.
- Automate reporting and reconciliation processes.
- Establish SOPs and internal controls across all locations.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.
- Partner with Outlet Managers, Operations Heads, and Senior Management.
- Drive a performance-focused and compliance-oriented culture.
Qualifications
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance / M.Com.
- 5–15 years of finance experience.
- Minimum 4–5 years in Restaurant, QSR, Hospitality, Hotel, or F&B industry.
- Experience managing multi-outlet operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, budgeting, costing, and financial controls.
