Qualifications: Mining Engineer with a First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate
Work Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in the mining operations sector with a strong focus on HEMM planning, implementation of mining plans, and operational supervision.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Implementation and execution of mining plans as per guidelines and best practices
- Planning and deployment of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) for efficient mining operations
- Hands-on experience with OTIDS (Operational Technology Information Data Systems) and other technological tools for HEMM scheduling and deployment
- Supervision of mining operations, ensuring that all activities comply with safety and quality standards
- Monitoring operation data and deriving meaningful dashboards to improve operational efficiency
- Collaboration with planning and technical teams to ensure seamless execution of mining strategies
- Conducting routine checks and audits of the operations and suggesting improvements
- Managing day-to-day operations, including resource allocation and machinery deployment
- Ensuring continuous training and development of operational staff for improved performance
- Regularly reviewing operational data to optimize machinery use, reduce downtime, and enhance production output
Skills Required:
- Strong experience in mining operations with hands-on experience in implementing mining plans
- Proficient in planning and deploying HEMM (Heavy Earth Moving Machinery) effectively
- Expertise in using OTIDS and other technological options for scheduling and monitoring HEMM operations
- Excellent experience in supervising operations and analyzing operation data to create actionable dashboards
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to work in fast-paced and challenging environments
- Good communication skills and proficiency in MS Office tools
- A First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate and relevant operational experience in open-pit/coal mines are essential.
