About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Loan Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end loan operations, ensuring efficient processing, disbursement, servicing, and closure of loan accounts. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in lending operations, process management, compliance, customer service, and team leadership within Banking, NBFC, or FinTech environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end loan operations including application processing, verification, underwriting coordination, disbursement, servicing, and loan closure.
- Ensure adherence to operational policies, regulatory guidelines, and internal controls.
- Monitor loan processing timelines and service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with Credit, Risk, Compliance, Collections, and Customer Support teams.
- Oversee loan documentation, verification, and record management processes.
- Manage loan disbursement and repayment operations while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Handle escalations and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
- Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and MIS for management review.
- Ensure compliance with guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India and other regulatory authorities.
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Lead, train, and mentor operations teams to achieve business objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA, CA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Loan Operations, Lending Operations, Banking Operations, NBFC Operations, or Financial Services.
- Strong understanding of loan products such as Personal Loans, Business Loans, MSME Loans, Consumer Finance, and Secured Lending.
- Experience in loan documentation, disbursement, servicing, collections support, and customer onboarding.
- Knowledge of KYC, CKYC, AML, and lending compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and Loan Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and operational management skills.
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel, MIS reporting, and operational dashboards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Banks, NBFCs, FinTech companies, or Digital Lending Platforms.
- Knowledge of digital lending workflows and automated loan processing systems.
- Experience managing high-volume loan operations.
- Understanding of risk management, fraud prevention, and audit controls.
- Exposure to co-lending, embedded finance, and digital lending ecosystems.
