Production Equipment Maintenance
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of production machinery.
- Maintain equipment used in herbal extraction, powder processing, granulation, blending, liquid manufacturing, filling, packaging, and scrap handling.
- Diagnose equipment failures and carry out timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Ensure smooth functioning of mixers, granulators, pulverizers, sifters, conveyors, reactors, filling machines, packaging machines, and related production equipment.
Experience
3–5 Years of experience in an Ayurvedic, Herbal, Nutraceutical, FMCG, or Pharmaceutical manufacturing company.
Preventive Maintenance
- Execute preventive maintenance activities as per approved schedules and SOPs.
- Maintain preventive maintenance checklists and equipment history records.
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed without affecting production schedules.
- Coordinate maintenance shutdowns with the Production department.
Breakdown Maintenance
- Respond immediately to equipment breakdowns and restore operations efficiently.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring machine failures.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve equipment reliability.
Utility & Engineering Support
- Monitor and maintain engineering utilities such as HVAC systems, Air Compressors, Boilers, Chillers, Water Systems, and DG Sets.
- Coordinate with utility engineers to ensure uninterrupted production operations.
- Support installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain maintenance logs, equipment history cards, calibration records, and engineering documentation.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with GMP, SOPs, and engineering standards.
- Participate in deviation investigations, Change Control, and CAPA activities.
- Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure compliance with EHS guidelines and safe maintenance practices.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in engineering and production areas.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance equipment efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize maintenance costs.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of herbal extraction, granulation, blending, liquid processing, and packaging equipment.
- Good understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.
- Familiarity with GMP, SOPs, engineering documentation, CAPA, Deviation, and Change Control.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
Candidate Preference
- Experience in Ayurvedic, Herbal, Nutraceutical, Food, FMCG, or Pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience with Pulverizers, Ribbon Blenders, Multi Mills, Vibro Sifters, Granulators, Liquid Mixing Tanks, Reactors, Filling Machines, Labeling Machines, Cartoning Machines, and Packaging Equipment will be an added advantage.
- Immediate joiners or candidates serving a short notice period will be preferred.
- Candidates with a proactive approach to equipment reliability and continuous improvement will be given preference.
