Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Mumbai, with the flexibility to work from home on some days. The Search Engine Optimization Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing SEO strategies to increase organic visibility and drive qualified traffic to the company’s website and digital platforms. Daily tasks include conducting keyword research, performing on-page optimization, monitoring technical issues, and implementing regular SEO audits to improve site health and performance. The specialist will manage link-building initiatives, track performance using web analytics tools, and prepare concise reports with insights and recommendations. The role will collaborate closely with content, marketing, and design teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into campaigns, product pages, and overall site architecture.
Qualifications:
- Strong skills in Keyword Research and On-Page SEO to optimize product pages, landing pages, and content for target search terms.
- Experience conducting comprehensive SEO Audits to identify technical, content, and structural issues and implement corrective actions.
- Proficiency in Link Building strategies, including outreach, partnership development, and monitoring backlink quality.
- Hands-on experience with Web Analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console) to track rankings, traffic, and conversion metrics.
- Familiarity with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or similar platforms.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and technical SEO concepts (site speed, mobile optimization, structured data) is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in e-commerce, luxury, lifestyle, or gifting domains is an advantage.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an SEO Specialist, SEO Executive, or similar role.
- Strong expertise in Keyword Research, On-Page SEO, and Technical SEO.
- Experience conducting SEO Audits and implementing optimization recommendations.
- Knowledge of Link Building strategies and backlink management.
- Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and related reporting tools.
- Proficiency in SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, or equivalent platforms.
- Understanding of website architecture, indexing, site speed optimization, and mobile SEO.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and structured data is preferred.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, IT, or a related field.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in E-commerce, Luxury, Lifestyle, Retail, or Gifting industries.
- Familiarity with Shopify, WooCommerce, or other e-commerce platforms.
- Knowledge of content marketing and conversion rate optimization (CRO) is an advantage.
