About the Role
We are looking for an energetic, responsible and customer-focused Store Manager to independently manage the day-to-day operations of our optics store in Indore.
The Store Manager will be responsible for sales, customer service, staff management, inventory, billing, store discipline and overall store performance.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the store and ensure that it runs smoothly even when the owner is not present.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage the complete day-to-day operations of the optical store.
· Open and close the store as per business timings.
· Lead, supervise and motivate store staff.
· Set daily and monthly sales targets and ensure achievement.
· Handle customers professionally and ensure excellent customer experience.
· Assist customers with frames, sunglasses, lenses and other optical products.
· Coordinate with optometrists and sales staff for smooth customer handling.
· Monitor spectacle orders and ensure timely delivery to customers.
· Maintain proper billing and cash handling.
· Monitor daily sales, collections and expenses.
· Maintain accurate inventory of frames, lenses, sunglasses and accessories.
· Monitor stock movement, slow-moving items and damaged/returned products.
· Coordinate with suppliers and laboratories for pending orders and deliveries.
· Ensure proper display and visual merchandising of products.
· Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
· Maintain store cleanliness, discipline and presentation.
· Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales and stock reports.
· Ensure company policies and operating procedures are followed.
· Take responsibility for achieving store sales and profitability targets.
Candidate Requirements
· Graduate preferred.
· 2–5 years of experience in retail/store management.
· Experience in an optical/eyewear store will be an advantage.
· Strong sales and customer-service orientation.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to manage and motivate a team.
· Good knowledge of inventory and stock management.
· Basic knowledge of billing software and MS Excel.
· Ability to handle cash and daily reconciliation.
· Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.
· Should be responsible, honest, punctual and disciplined.
· Should be comfortable working retail hours, including weekends/holidays when required.
Preferred Candidate

· Retail stores
Optical industry experience is preferred but not mandatory.
