Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Plant HR & Admin Head to lead Human Resources, Industrial Relations, and Plant Administration for a large manufacturing facility. This role requires strong expertise in IR, statutory compliance, and plant operations, and will act as a strategic partner to the Plant Head.
Key Responsibilities:
Industrial Relations and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with Factories Act, CLRA, PF, ESIC, and applicable labour laws
- Handle union negotiations, wage settlements, and grievance management
- Maintain discipline and manage misconduct cases
- Ensure contractor compliance and statutory documentation
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning:
- Plan manpower as per production requirements
- Lead hiring for blue-collar workforce and engineers
- Drive apprenticeship programs (NAPS/NATS)
- Develop local hiring pipelines (ITI tie-ups)
Performance Management and Training:
- Implement KPIs/KRAs across plant levels
- Drive performance appraisal systems
- Identify skill gaps and conduct training programs
- Promote multi-skilling and workforce development
Employee Engagement and Welfare:
- Drive engagement initiatives and recognition programs
- Oversee canteen, transport, and employee facilities
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and support audits
Plant Administration:
- Manage facility, security, housekeeping, transport, and canteen
- Handle vendor management and contracts
- Ensure 5S standards and audit readiness
- Manage budgets and cost optimization
Required Skills:
- Strong Industrial Relations and union handling experience
- In-depth knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Good shop-floor exposure
- Vendor and administration management capability
Eligibility Criteria:
- 12+ years of experience in Plant HR and Admin
- Experience in Automotive or Manufacturing industry preferred
- Experience handling workforce of 500+ employees
- Marathi fluency is mandatory
