The Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing the academy's financial performance, preparing budgets, forecasting revenue and expenses, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making. The role ensures efficient financial planning, cost control, and compliance with financial regulations while contributing to the academy's long-term financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Analyze revenue streams, including tuition fees, grants, donations, and other income sources.
- Track operational expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
- Conduct variance analysis by comparing actual financial performance with budgets and forecasts.
- Develop financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations to maintain financial stability.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and audit documentation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and institutional financial policies.
- Analyze enrollment trends and their financial impact on the academy.
- Support pricing analysis for tuition fees, training programs, and other educational services.
- Evaluate the financial feasibility of new academic programs and capital projects.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop departmental budgets and monitor expenditures.
- Prepare management presentations and dashboards highlighting key financial metrics.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent are preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or accounting (experience in the education sector is an advantage).
