Quantity Surveyor – Job Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) from approved drawings and project specifications.
- Estimate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs for petrol pump construction projects.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and monitor project expenditures to ensure cost control.
- Verify contractor and subcontractor bills, measurements, and payment applications.
- Conduct site measurements and reconcile executed work with approved BOQs.
- Prepare and evaluate variation orders, additional work claims, and cost revisions.
- Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors, procurement, and finance teams for project costing and billing.
- Monitor material consumption and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Maintain quantity records, measurement books (MB), and other project documentation.
- Prepare project progress reports, cost reports, and cash flow forecasts.
- Assist in procurement by preparing material quantity requirements and comparing supplier quotations.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, company procedures, and project specifications.
- Support project planning by providing quantity and cost-related inputs.
- Participate in site inspections and verify completed work before certification.
- Perform any other quantity surveying and commercial duties assigned by management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- 2–5 years of experience in quantity surveying for petrol pump, commercial, or civil construction projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity estimation software.
- Knowledge of BOQ preparation, billing, rate analysis, and contract administration.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
