Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Lab Technician to support daily laboratory operations. The role involves specimen processing, basic laboratory testing, equipment maintenance, quality control activities, and ensuring adherence to laboratory protocols and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, label, and process patient samples accurately.
- Perform routine laboratory tests under supervision.
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and laboratory consumables.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.
- Ensure proper sample storage and disposal as per protocols.
- Record test results accurately in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Follow quality control and quality assurance procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the laboratory work area.
- Assist in inventory management and stock monitoring.
- Comply with NABL, safety, and infection control guidelines.
Qualifications
- DMLT / B.Sc. MLT (Freshers or up to 2 years of experience).
- Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and sample handling.
- Familiarity with laboratory software/LIS is preferred.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
Skills Required
- Sample collection and processing knowledge.
- Basic hematology, biochemistry, and microbiology laboratory skills.
- Computer proficiency and data entry accuracy.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work in shifts if required.
