Job Summary
The Front Office Staff serves as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming experience and providing efficient front desk services. The role includes handling guest check-ins and check-outs, managing reservations, responding to inquiries, maintaining records, and coordinating with housekeeping and other departments to ensure excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Handle guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
- Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries promptly.
- Maintain accurate guest records and billing information.
- Receive payments and issue invoices or receipts.
- Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure room readiness.
- Assist guests with local information, transportation, and other requests.
- Address guest complaints and resolve issues professionally or escalate them when necessary.
- Monitor lobby and reception areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information.
- Prepare daily reports and update occupancy records.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and service standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in a front office, hotel, or customer service role is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office and hotel/property management software is preferred.
- Good communication skills in English and the local language.
- Basic accounting and cash-handling knowledge.
