Role Overview
The organization is looking for an experienced AI/ML Lead to drive the development and deployment of production-grade AI systems for agriculture. The role requires ownership across the complete AI lifecycle from data pipelines and model development to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and scalable ML systems, along with the ability to solve practical real-world challenges in field environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the AI/ML roadmap aligned with product and business objectives
- Design, build, and deploy scalable machine learning systems in production
- Develop end-to-end pipelines from field data collection to model-driven decision outputs
- Work on real-world AI challenges including data quality, environmental variability, deployment constraints, and model reliability
- Collaborate closely with hardware, product, and agronomy teams
- Build continuous feedback and learning systems for ongoing model improvement
- Lead architecture decisions for AI infrastructure and model deployment
- Mentor, hire, and lead a high-performance AI/ML team
- Establish best practices for model training, validation, monitoring, and MLOps
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in Computer Vision and Deep Learning
- Proven experience building and deploying end-to-end ML systems in production environments
- Strong understanding of statistics, data modelling, and machine learning fundamentals
- Experience with Python and modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Experience with data pipelines, model deployment, and scalable infrastructure
- Strong problem-solving mindset with focus on systems and outcomes rather than only model accuracy
- Ability to work in cross-functional and fast-paced environments
Good to Have
- Experience with remote sensing or geospatial data
- Understanding of agricultural workflows and field conditions
- Exposure to edge AI or hardware-integrated AI systems
- Experience with cloud platforms and MLOps practices
