Salesman cum Cashier (Liquor Shop)
Position: Salesman cum Cashier
Department: Retail Operations
Reporting To: Store Manager
Duties & Responsibilities
Sales Responsibilities
- Attend to customers courteously and assist them in selecting products.
- Provide information regarding brands, prices, offers, and product availability.
- Promote sales by recommending suitable products to customers.
- Ensure proper display and arrangement of liquor products on shelves.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area.
- Check stock availability and inform management about shortages or replenishment requirements.
Cashier Responsibilities
- Operate the billing/POS system efficiently and accurately.
- Receive cash, UPI, card, and other digital payments from customers.
- Issue bills and receipts for all transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of daily sales and collections.
- Reconcile cash and sales records at the end of each shift.
- Report any discrepancies in cash or billing immediately to management.
Inventory & Compliance
- Assist in stock receiving, counting, and inventory verification.
- Ensure products are stored safely and properly.
- Follow all excise department rules and liquor shop regulations.
- Verify the legal age of customers before sale, wherever required.
- Prevent unauthorized sales and maintain compliance with government regulations.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain professional behavior with customers and colleagues.
- Safeguard shop assets, cash, and inventory.
- Assist during audits, inspections, and stock-taking activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management related to shop operations.
Requirements
- Minimum Higher Secondary (10+2) qualification preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cash handling and billing systems.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Honest, responsible, and capable of handling cash transactions accurately.
Duty Timing: As per shop operational requirements.
Location: Cheers F.L Off Shop Kalyani More , Haringhata (Foreign Liquor Off Shop.)
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
