We are looking for a skilled ITI-certified Electrician with hands-on mechanical experience to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will handle electrical installations, repairs, and troubleshooting, while also assisting with mechanical maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical:
- Install, inspect, and maintain electrical wiring, panels, switchgear, and distribution systems
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in machinery, motors, and control panels
- Read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams and schematics
- Maintain lighting systems, MCBs, transformers, and power distribution units
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance checks on electrical equipment
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and protocols
Mechanical:
- Assist with mechanical maintenance and repair of machines, pumps, motors, and conveyor systems
- Perform basic mechanical fitting, alignment, and lubrication tasks
- Identify and resolve mechanical issues alongside electrical faults (e.g., motor bearing failures, coupling issues)
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Coordinate with mechanical team for combined electro-mechanical breakdowns
General:
- Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and breakdown reports
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures
- Estimate and requisition spare parts/materials as needed
- Respond promptly to breakdown calls and minimize downtime
- Support audits and inspections related to electrical/mechanical compliance
Requirements
- ITI certification in Electrician trade (mandatory)
- Minimum [1–3] years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems (motors, pumps, bearings, belts, basic fitting)
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Knowledge of safety protocols (LOTO, PPE usage, earthing checks)
- Basic understanding of PLC/automation systems is a plus
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during breakdowns
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification or experience in mechanical maintenance/fitter trade
- Experience working in [industry — e.g., manufacturing, FMCG, textile, etc.]
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance (PM) schedules
