Your impact
As a Digital Twin Specialist, you will be at the forefront of Jacobs’ Digital Transformation journey, driving innovation and operational excellence through advanced Digital Twin solutions. This role focuses on integrating real-time data, simulation models, and analytics to optimize asset performance across the entire AEC lifecycle—from design and construction to operations and maintenance. You will collaborate with global teams and clients, ensuring Jacobs remains a leader in delivering smart, sustainable, and resilient infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Define and implement Digital Twin strategies aligned with Jacobs’ global vision and client objectives.
Champion Digital Innovation by integrating BIM, IoT, AI/ML, and data analytics into AEC project workflows.
Support strategic bids and proposals by showcasing Jacobs’ Digital Twin capabilities.
Technical Delivery
Develop and manage Digital Twin models for multidisciplinary projects (Transportation including Aviation, Water, Energy & Power, Buildings and Infrastructure, Life Sciences etc.).
Integrate BIM models with IoT sensors, BMS, SCADA systems, and Operational and CMMS data for real-time monitoring and predictive analytics.
Ensure interoperability between BIM platforms and Digital Twin ecosystems using Common Data Environments (CDEs) like ProjectWise and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Collaboration & Governance
Work closely with Project Managers, Design Managers, and Discipline Leads, Facility Managers to embed Digital Twin workflows.
Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 and other international standards.
Promote best practices for Data Governance, Cybersecurity, and Intellectual Property protection.
Innovation & Insights
Utilize tools such as Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Synchro Pro, Twinmotion, iTwin, Simens, and Revizto for modeling and visualization.
Experience and knowledge to apply scripting (Python/Dynamo) for automation and parametric modeling.
Create dashboards and analytics using Power BI, Tableau etc. for performance insights and decision-making.
Skills & Tools
Must have : -
Digital Twin Tools: Synchro Pro, Twinmotion, IoT integration platforms, iTwin, Autodesk Tandem
Visualization – Unreal, Unity
Core Platforms: Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revizto, Simens
Emerging Tech: AI/ML, GIS integration, Cloud Data, Photogrammetry, Reality Capture
Knowledge and experience in any of the Cloud Platforms – Azure, AWS, GCP
Good to have : -
Knowledge and experience around Energy, Sustainability, Carbon Footprint KPIs
Data Analytics: Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Oracle
Automation: Python, Dynamo
Knowledge on AR/VR
Here's what you'll need
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
8–16 years of experience in BIM and Digital Twin implementation.
Advanced certifications in BIM and Digital Technologies (Autodesk Certified Professional, ISO 19650) preferred.
Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex projects using Digital Twin solutions.
