**Type:** Full-time
**Experience:** 2+ years in D2C / online retail (apparel or lifestyle preferred)

## About the brand
Stitch Stories is a contemporary western wear label for Indian women, sold across three retail stores in Delhi NCR and online via our Shopify D2C store (shopstitchstories.com). We design and manufacture in-house, so the person in this role works close to product, inventory, and the founder — not in a layered corporate setup.
We're scaling the online business aggressively and need one owner who can run the Shopify channel end to end rather than a specialist who only touches one slice of it.
## The role in one line
Own the online store from the ground up — catalog to checkout to repeat purchase — and be the single point of accountability for everything that happens on Shopify.
## What "0 to 1 on Shopify" means here
You should be comfortable building and running the store hands-on, not just briefing an agency. Concretely:
- Setting up and maintaining products, variants, collections, and on-site merchandising
- Configuring discounts, codes, and sale mechanics
- Managing apps, checkout flow, and payment setup
- Reading store analytics and acting on them — conversion, AOV, drop-offs, returns
## Core responsibilities
**Storefront & catalog**
Keep the catalog accurate and well-merchandised: new launches go live cleanly, imagery and copy are correct, collections and homepage reflect what we want to push, sizes and prices match POS reality.
**Orders & post-purchase**
Own the order lifecycle — COD confirmation, RTO reduction, returns and exchanges, and keeping fulfilment moving in coordination with the logistics team. Daily online order volume is modest today, so you'll touch orders directly while building systems to scale them.
**Inventory & sync**
Make sure online stock reflects what's actually available, and flag mismatches between Shopify, POS, and the warehouse before they cause cancellations.
**Promotions & campaigns**
Set up and run sale events, discount logic, and launch calendars on-site. Coordinate with performance marketing so what's advertised matches what's live and in stock.
**Growth & analytics**
Track online revenue, conversion, and AOV; spot what's working and what's leaking; propose and run experiments (PDP changes, bundles, checkout tweaks) to push toward our online growth target.
**Customer experience**
Be the owner of the on-site and post-order experience — query resolution, review/UGC handling, and anything that affects whether a first buyer comes back.
## Who you'll work with
You'll coordinate daily with logistics, operations, and design, and work directly with the founder on priorities. This is a hands-on, small-team environment — you'll do the work, not just manage it.
## What we're looking for
- 2+ years running or heavily supporting a Shopify (or comparable D2C) store, ideally in fashion/apparel/lifestyle
- Genuinely hands-on with Shopify admin — products, collections, discounts, apps, basic analytics
- Comfortable with numbers: can read a sales/conversion report and translate it into action
- Organised and self-driven — can hold multiple workstreams
- Clear communicator who can coordinate across logistics, ops, and design
## Nice to have
- Experience with COD-heavy operations and RTO reduction
- Exposure to performance marketing (Meta) and how it ties to on-site conversion
- Familiarity with email/WhatsApp retention tools
- Basic comfort with spreadsheets and light no-code automation
## How this role is structured
This is deliberately a broad, flexible role. As the online business grows, the mix of responsibilities will shift — some areas will get handed off, new ones will land on your plate. We're looking for someone who treats that as the appeal, not the catch: an owner who's happy wearing several hats and reshaping the role as the channel scales.
Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
