Job Description
TGC Dehradun is looking for an experienced Animation, Graphic Design and Video Editing Trainer who can train students in creative design, animation, motion graphics and video editing with a strong practical approach.
The trainer should be able to teach software, guide students on projects, help them build portfolios, and prepare them for jobs in the media, design and animation industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom training for students in Animation, Graphic Design and Video Editing.
- Teach software and practical workflows used in the design and media industry.
- Train students through live projects, assignments and portfolio-based exercises.
- Guide students in creating strong work for Behance, showreels and placement portfolios.
- Maintain batch attendance, assignment records and syllabus progress.
- Review student work regularly and give clear feedback for improvement.
- Support students in understanding industry standards, file formats, design basics and production workflow.
- Coordinate with the academic and placement team for student progress and job readiness.
- Help in workshops, demo classes, student events and creative activities when required.
Required Skills
Candidate should have good knowledge of some or most of the following:
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe InDesign
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- Motion Graphics
- Video Editing
- Graphic Design Principles
- Typography, Layout and Branding
- 2D Animation basics
- 3D Animation knowledge will be an added advantage
- Canva / AI design tools knowledge will be a plus
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2–4 years of training or industry experience preferred.
- Should have a strong portfolio/showreel.
- Must be comfortable teaching students from beginner to advanced level.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Should be disciplined, punctual and student-focused.
- Prior experience in an institute, college, studio or production house will be preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple creative subjects will be an advantage.
Qualification
- Diploma/Degree in Animation, Multimedia, Graphic Design, Video Editing, Fine Arts or related field.
- Strong practical knowledge will be preferred over only academic qualification.
