About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Catering & Event Manager – Sales & Operations to manage end-to-end event planning, catering sales, and operational execution. The ideal candidate should have experience in hospitality, catering, banquet operations, or event management along with strong client-handling and business development skills.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Generate catering and event business through corporate tie-ups, client references, and inbound inquiries
Develop and maintain strong client relationships
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
Prepare proposals, negotiate pricing, and close business opportunities
Identify new business opportunities and market segments
Event Planning & Client Coordination
Understand client requirements including menu preferences, themes, event setup, and guest expectations
Coordinate events from planning stage to successful execution
Ensure smooth communication between clients and internal teams
Operations Management
Manage on-ground event operations including venue setup, food service, and staff coordination
Ensure service quality, hygiene standards, and customer satisfaction
Coordinate with vendors and handle event logistics efficiently
Menu & Logistics Planning
Work closely with chefs for customized menu planning
Organize food tastings and finalize event menus
Plan manpower, equipment, and event logistics
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
Prepare event budgets and monitor profitability
Control operational and vendor costs
Manage billing, invoicing, and event documentation
Maintain Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), client records, and sales pipeline
Candidate Requirements
3–5+ years of experience in catering, hospitality, banquet operations, or event management
Strong communication and client servicing skills
Experience in sales, event execution, and team handling
Good knowledge of banquet operations, menu planning, and vendor coordination
Ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously
Flexible to work on weekends, evenings, or holidays as per business requirements
