Qualification: B.Sc./M.Sc. Nursing with valid Nursing Council Registration. OT Certification/Perioperative Nursing certification is preferred.

Job Summary:
The OT Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and efficient functioning of the Operation Theatre complex. The role involves ensuring high standards of patient safety, infection control, resource utilization, staff management, and compliance with NABH and hospital quality standards while supporting smooth surgical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Operation Theatre complex.
- Plan and coordinate OT schedules in consultation with surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing teams.
- Ensure availability of OT staff, equipment, consumables, implants, and surgical instruments.
- Supervise OT nursing staff, technicians, and support personnel.
- Monitor adherence to aseptic techniques, infection control protocols, and patient safety standards.
- Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Coordinate with CSSD, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacy, Stores, and other departments for uninterrupted OT services.
- Monitor OT utilization, turnaround time, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits, incident investigations, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, hospital policies, and statutory regulations.
- Prepare duty rosters, manage staffing requirements, and oversee leave planning.
- Organize orientation, training, competency assessments, and performance evaluations for OT staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation, OT records, inventory, and quality reports.
- Handle emergency situations efficiently and ensure preparedness for disaster management.
- Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives within the OT.
Required Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Thorough knowledge of OT workflows and perioperative nursing practices.
- Excellent understanding of infection prevention and control protocols.
- Knowledge of NABH accreditation standards and quality systems.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and Microsoft Office.
Candidate Profile:
- B.Sc./M.Sc. Nursing with valid Nursing Council Registration.
- Minimum 5–10 years of OT experience, including at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Experience in a multi-speciality or super-speciality hospital is mandatory.
- Strong expertise in OT administration, staffing, inventory management, quality compliance, and patient safety.
- Candidates with NABH implementation or accreditation experience will be preferred.
