We are looking for an experienced Accounts Manager with 10–15 years of relevant experience in handling end-to-end accounting and financial activities, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in finalization of accounts, taxation, statutory compliance, audits, MIS, costing, and financial reporting. Experience in the wire, cable, copper/aluminium, electrical or similar manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Finalization
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Handle end-to-end accounting up to finalization of accounts.
- Prepare and review Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance and schedules.
- Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing.
- Reconcile bank, customer, vendor and ledger accounts.
- Review journal entries, provisions, accruals, depreciation and other accounting adjustments.
- Maintain proper books of accounts as per applicable accounting standards.
2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Handle GST, TDS and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Review GST returns, reconciliations and input tax credit.
- Ensure timely TDS deductions, payments and return filing.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and external professionals wherever required.
- Support tax assessments, notices and related documentation.
3. Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors and tax auditors.
- Prepare audit schedules, supporting documents and necessary reconciliations.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Maintain proper documentation and financial records for audit purposes.
4. Manufacturing Accounting & Costing
- Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs, raw material consumption, production costs and overheads.
- Prepare and review product costing / batch costing wherever applicable.
- Analyse material cost, labour cost and manufacturing overheads.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores and Management for cost-related information.
- Monitor inventory valuation and stock-related accounting.
- Identify cost variances and provide relevant analysis to management.
5. MIS & Management Reporting
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, profitability statements and financial analysis.
- Provide management with insights on revenue, expenses, margins, working capital and cost variances.
- Prepare receivables/payables ageing and monitor outstanding balances.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow planning.
6. Receivables, Payables & Working Capital
- Monitor customer outstanding and vendor payments.
- Review ageing reports and follow up on critical outstanding balances.
- Ensure proper accounting and reconciliation of receivables and payables.
- Support effective working-capital management.
7. Team Management
- Manage and supervise the Accounts team.
- Review work performed by junior accounting staff.
- Allocate responsibilities and ensure timely completion of accounting activities.
- Guide the team on accounting processes, compliance and documentation.
8. Process Improvement
- Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes.
- Identify discrepancies and ensure corrective actions.
- Improve accuracy, efficiency and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Ensure proper implementation and usage of accounting/ERP systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance is mandatory.
- CA Inter / CMA / M.Com will be an added advantage.
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Strong hands-on experience in finalization of accounts is mandatory.
- Experience in manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Experience in wire/cable, copper/aluminium, electrical or similar manufacturing industry will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, statutory compliance and audits.
- Good understanding of inventory accounting, costing and manufacturing accounts.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and accounting ERP/software.
- Good analytical, reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently manage the Finance & Accounts function.
