We are looking for an externally facing dealmaker and collaborative team operator to serve as our Head of Branding, Marketing & Partnerships. This hybrid role demands an executive who can own national brand strategy and corporate marketing budgets while executing performance campaigns alongside Growth teams. You will hold the authority to pitch, negotiate, and close commercial distribution alliances independently.
Key Responsibilities & Core Problems to Solve
- Establish Brand Differentiation: Leverage Patrika’s historic 1956 trust equity and Rajasthan origins to build brand differentiation as we execute our pan-India digital growth plans.
- Measurable Subscription Growth: Run paid and earned acquisition campaigns built to move in lockstep with the App Growth team to feed our core subscription funnel.
- Secure High-Impact Distribution Partnerships: Architect and execute commercial deals across telecom providers, OEM smartphone pre-installations, and on-ground activations throughout the Hindi belt.
- Balance Dual Targets: Maintain strict accountability for high-level brand health tracking metrics alongside hard cost-per-acquisition (CAC) performance targets.
Experience & Scale Requirements
- Experience leading brand strategy and performance marketing concurrently for a major consumer media or digital content player at a national scale in India.
- Direct history of orchestrating and closing complex commercial partnerships (such as OEM integration, e-commerce bundles, or massive event sponsorships), rather than basic co-branding agreements.
- Deep experience marketing directly to Tier 2 and Tier 3 Indian markets, where consumer trust signals differ fundamentally from English-first metro playbooks.
Critical Disqualifiers
- A pure creative or brand background with zero performance-marketing accountability or CAC ownership.
- A narrow performance-marketing background that lacks long-term brand equity development skills.
- A career spent exclusively tracking metro-only, English-language demographics with no exposure to Hindi-belt consumer psychology.
