Junior Technical Designer
Role Overview
The Junior Technical Designer is responsible for preparing detailed technical and production drawings within agreed timelines and quality expectations. This role involves ensuring that all technical documentation is complete, accurate, and adheres to both client brand guidelines and production feasibility standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting & Accuracy: Prepare client submission drawings with zero repeated errors and ensure 100% compliance with brand guidelines.
- Technical Documentation: Generate 100% complete cutting lists for joinery and metal, as well as accurate material take-offs (MTOs) for joinery, metal, acrylic, and packing materials.
- Production Support: Create comprehensive packing lists according to company standards and support value engineering initiatives to optimize material consumption.
- Timely Delivery: Adhere to strict design turnaround times for backwalls, gondolas, shop-in-shops, and boutique projects.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear communication with production teams to resolve technical issues and share RFIs (Requests for Information) promptly after briefings.
Qualification & Experience
- Degree/Diploma in Interior Design, Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in technical design, joinery, retail fit-out, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of joinery, metal works, fabrication processes, and production methodologies.
- Experience in luxury retail, shop-fitting, or fit-out projects is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of production drawings, BOMs, cutting lists, material take-offs, and packing documentation.
- Understanding of CNC machining, metal fabrication, painting, printing, and assembly processes.
- Familiarity with 3D software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) is an advantage.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
