Role description
Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive End User Computing (EUC) Engineer to manage and support enterprise workplace technologies, desktop environments, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), application packaging, and endpoint management solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SCCM, Intune, PowerShell scripting, Windows administration, and VDI platforms, along with strong troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support End User Computing (EUC) environments across the organization.
- Administer desktop engineering, endpoint management, workplace technology solutions, and application deployment processes.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
- Manage device provisioning, software deployment, patch management, operating system upgrades, and device lifecycle management.
- Perform application packaging, testing, deployment, and maintenance using industry-standard packaging tools.
- Support and troubleshoot Microsoft SCCM (MECM), Microsoft Intune, and endpoint management solutions.
- Ensure timely resolution of incidents, service requests, and user support issues in accordance with defined SLAs.
- Monitor endpoint performance, compliance, security posture, and system health.
- Support Citrix and/or VMware-based VDI environments.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine administrative and deployment tasks.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver seamless end-user services.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, knowledge articles, and support runbooks.
- Utilize ITSM tools such as ServiceNow for incident, problem, change, and request management.
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.
- Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in End User Computing (EUC), Desktop Engineering, Workplace Support, or Endpoint Management.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft SCCM (MECM) – Mandatory
- Microsoft Intune – Mandatory
- Endpoint Management
- Strong experience with:
- Windows 10 and Windows 11 administration – Mandatory
- Windows Installer technologies, Registry, Services, and File System management – Mandatory
- Software deployment, patch management, and operating system lifecycle management
- Endpoint security and compliance controls
- Experience supporting Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) platforms:
- Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops
- VMware Horizon
- Understanding and hands-on experience in application packaging technologies:
- MSI
- MSIX
- App-V
- EXE-based installations
- Experience with application packaging tools such as:
- InstallShield
- Advanced Installer
- Flexera AdminStudio
- Equivalent packaging solutions
- Hands-on scripting and automation experience using:
- Experience working with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms such as:
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Python scripting and automation.
- Microsoft 365 administration and support.
- Active Directory administration and Group Policy management.
- ITIL-based service management processes.
- Experience with endpoint monitoring, reporting, and analytics tools.
- Experience in automation of endpoint management and software deployment processes.
