RO Operator
Job Summary
An RO Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment systems to ensure the production of safe, high-quality purified water. The operator performs routine inspections, records operational data, troubleshoots equipment issues, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor RO plants and water treatment equipment.
- Start up, shut down, and adjust system operations as required.
- Monitor water quality parameters such as pH, TDS, conductivity, and pressure.
- Conduct routine maintenance of pumps, filters, membranes, and related equipment.
- Perform backwashing, chemical dosing, and membrane cleaning procedures.
- Maintain daily operational logs and maintenance records.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
- Manage chemical inventory and handle treatment chemicals safely.
- Assist in troubleshooting and optimizing plant performance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, ITI, Diploma, or equivalent qualification.
- Certification or training in water treatment systems is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of RO plant operation and maintenance.
- Ability to read gauges, meters, and technical manuals.
- Basic computer and record-keeping skills.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in RO plant operation is preferred for operator roles.
- Experience in industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical, food processing, or hospital water treatment plants is an advantage.
Working Conditions
- May involve shift work, including nights and weekends.
- Requires standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of equipment or chemicals.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹27,000.00 per month
