Core Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (income statements, balance sheets).
- Reconciliation & Ledger Maintenance: Reconciling bank statements and balancing ledger accounts.
- Compliance & Tax: Ensuring compliance with local/international regulations (IFRS/GAAP) and preparing tax returns.
- Auditing: Conducting internal audits and assisting with external audits to verify financial data.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Managing invoicing, payments, and expense tracking.
- Budgeting: Assisting management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong attention to detail and ability to identify financial discrepancies.
- Communication: Ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
