Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Batching Plant Operator to operate and monitor the RMC batching plant at the ACC plant in Shantigram, Ahmedabad. The operator will be responsible for producing concrete as per approved mix designs, maintaining accurate batching, monitoring plant performance, coordinating dispatch requirements, and ensuring safe and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the automatic RMC batching plant as per approved mix design and production requirements.
- Carry out pre-start checks of batching plant, electrical systems, conveyors, mixers, weigh hoppers, silos and related equipment.
- Ensure accurate weighing and batching of cement, aggregates, water, admixtures and other materials.
- Monitor the batching process and ensure the required concrete quantity and quality are maintained.
- Follow production instructions received from the Plant In-charge / Production team.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control/Laboratory team regarding mix design, slump, moisture correction and concrete quality.
- Monitor raw-material availability and inform the concerned person about shortages.
- Monitor plant alarms, equipment performance and abnormal conditions.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate with the maintenance team for breakdowns.
- Ensure timely calibration/checking of weighing systems and batching equipment.
- Maintain plant operation records, production reports, shift handover records and breakdown logs.
- Coordinate with transit mixer drivers and dispatch team for smooth concrete loading and dispatch.
- Maintain proper housekeeping around the batching plant and control material wastage.
- Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment abnormalities or quality deviations to the supervisor.
- Support preventive maintenance activities as required.
- Work in rotational shifts, including day/night shifts, depending on plant requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- ITI / Diploma / technical qualification preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience as an RMC Batching Plant Operator preferred.
- Experience operating an automatic concrete/RMC batching plant.
- Knowledge of concrete batching, weighing systems and basic concrete mix concepts.
- Experience with Schwing Stetter, Liebherr or similar batching plant systems will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read production instructions and maintain shift records.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Pay: ₹27,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
