Night Security Guard
Job Purpose
To ensure the safety and security of patients, attendants, staff, visitors, hospital property, and equipment during the night shift. The Night Security Guard is responsible for monitoring hospital premises, controlling access, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a safe environment throughout the night.
Key ResponsibilitiesSecurity & Access Control
- Monitor all hospital entrances and exits during the night shift.
- Verify the identity of visitors and ensure only authorized persons enter the hospital.
- Maintain a visitor entry register where applicable.
- Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas such as ICU, OT, pharmacy, and administrative offices.
- Ensure gates and doors are secured according to hospital policy.
Patrolling
- Conduct regular patrols of the hospital premises, including wards, corridors, parking areas, staircases, and external grounds.
- Check for suspicious activities, safety hazards, fire risks, or security breaches.
- Report any unusual incidents immediately to the hospital administration.
Patient & Visitor Management
- Guide patients and attendants to the appropriate departments when required.
- Ensure attendants follow hospital visiting hours and policies.
- Maintain discipline and prevent overcrowding in patient care areas.
- Handle difficult situations calmly and professionally.
Emergency Response
- Respond promptly to fire alarms, security incidents, medical emergencies, and other emergencies.
- Assist hospital staff during emergency evacuations when required.
- Coordinate with police, fire brigade, or ambulance services if instructed by hospital management.
Documentation
- Maintain a Night Duty Register.
- Record all incidents, visitor issues, accidents, and unusual occurrences.
- Submit a detailed shift handover report to the incoming security staff.
General Duties
- Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
- Follow all hospital policies, safety protocols, and confidentiality requirements.
- Perform any additional security-related duties assigned by the administration.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10th or 12th pass.
- Previous experience as a security guard is preferred.
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare facility is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of fire safety and emergency procedures.
Working Hours
- Night Shift (as per hospital schedule, typically 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM or as assigned).
- Weekly off as per hospital policy.
Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
