1. Furnace Operation
- Operate different types of furnaces (crucible, induction, reverberatory).
2. Metal Preparation
- Remove impurities (slag/dross) from molten aluminum.
- Add alloying elements as per production requirements.
- Ensure proper chemical composition of molten metal.
3. Pouring & Transfer
- Transfer molten aluminum to ladles safely.
- Coordinate with casting operators for continuous production.
- Maintain proper pouring temperature and timing.
4. Quality Control
- Check metal quality before pouring.
- Assist in sampling and testing of molten metal.
- Ensure defect-free metal supply for casting process.
5. Safety & Maintenance
- Follow safety procedures while handling high-temperature metal.
- Use PPE (gloves, helmet, face shield, apron).
- Perform routine furnace inspection and minor maintenance.
- Required Skills
- Knowledge of furnace operations and temperature control
- Understanding of aluminum alloys and melting behavior
- Basic knowledge of metallurgy
- Ability to handle high-temperature equipment safely
- Team coordination and attention to detail
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Foundry Technology
Experience in aluminum foundry (preferred)
- Charge raw materials like aluminum ingots, scrap, and returns into the furnace.
- Monitor melting process and maintain required temperature.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
