Responsible for implementing and maintaining the PLM application as a PLM IT Support Team member. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to analyse requirements, develop strategies, and provide technical guidance to ensure successful PLM implementations and ongoing operations. You will understand the product concept to launch business processes, suggest continuous improvements / new initiatives that you will then deliver/support technical solutions to the end-user. This is a multi-faceted role that has great opportunities to explore new technologies for example, Power BI, Adobe Illustrator, CLO 3D, Miro, Key shot, Dropbox and VibeIQ in conjunction with DeSL PLM.
What you’ll be doing:
Understanding business priorities to follow escalation procedures for complex issues, ensuring they are addressed by the appropriate personnel or teams within established expected timelines that meet the department’s SLA.
Incident Management:
a) Maintain incident management process to document, prioritize, and resolve IT-related incidents and service requests efficiently including communicating with both all Internal and External stakeholders throughout, until resolved.
b) Review service desk tickets as part of the PLM IT Support Team responsible for handling user enquiries and support tickets related to PLM system. With an understanding of working within agreed SLA’s and meeting team targets.
Be a team player, communicating, investigating and solutionising – working as one seamless unit, within the PLM IT Support Team and in turn within the Pentland Digital & Technology Team Department.
Listen & provide Participate and contribute recommendations of solutions or options to any item or question raised and, in turn review available documentation before discussing options with the PLM IT Support Team to best solve the issue.
Requirements Gathering:
a) Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs and translating them into actionable IT solutions.
b) To act as bridge between our PLM service provider and PLM userbase through clear documentation and verbal communication
Root Cause Analysis:
Conduct root cause analysis on recurring issues to identify underlying problems and implement preventive measures to minimize future incidents.
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base and documentation repository for common issues, troubleshooting procedures, and frequently asked questions to facilitate self-help and knowledge sharing.
Support & encourage change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of new technologies and processes among end-users.
Understand the data flow from PLM > ERP > E-commerce site (D2C as well as B2B), rules and regulations to ensure the stakeholders follow the business protocols, including new requests for data input fields. Including integration with subsequent systems. Additionally, an awareness of other data routes that contribute to company the reporting suite.
Prepare with a clear agenda, reference aides and PLM User Guides to deliver successful training sessions both in-person or via an online Teams call to the global DeSL PLM user community.
Communicate updates clearly to all necessary user groups and stakeholders, in a timely manner.
Be mindful of system security procedures, maintaining valid user licenses.
What you’ll bring:
PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) experience in DeSL PLM software and/or any other PLM system e.g. Centric, Flex PLM, WFX, Dessault, Infor PLM etc. Experience can be in any one of the following types of roles:
PLM Support, PLM Configuration Management, Product Data Management, PLM Super User or PLM Trainer.
A good understanding of the product creation process including colourways and Tech Packs is a must for any of the following product categories: apparel (ideal), equipment, accessories and / or footwear.
Working with business teams to help embed and streamline business wide initiatives (from business processes / ways of working to data formats and validating).
Knowledge of roles such as Product Design & Development, Global Product Manager, Regional & Global Product Merchandising & Planning, Sourcing & Technical Design. Including an excellent understanding of measurement size charts (including templates, grade rules, tolerances) and / or global costing of a product would be very useful to understand the complexities of the PLM User community’s requirements.
Experience using JIRA and Fresh Service (ticketing system) would be useful.
