Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Patent Data Analyst (Fresher Level) based in CityCourt, Zirakpur. The role involves maintaining and updating patent databases, collecting and organizing data from public and internal sources, and performing basic data mining and structured data compilation.
The candidate will assist in analyzing large patent datasets under supervision, generate reports and dashboards using Excel, Tableau, or Power BI, and support preparation of client-ready presentations. The role also includes coordinating with internal teams for data validation, conducting client follow-ups for required inputs, and ensuring proper documentation of ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update internal patent and trademark databases with accuracy
- Collect and organize patent data from various public and internal sources
- Perform basic data mining and extraction of relevant patent information
- Assist in analyzing large patent datasets under senior supervision
- Perform data scraping and structured data compilation
- Generate Excel, Tableau or Power BI reports, charts, and summary sheets
- Assist in preparing client-ready presentations and documentation
- Coordinate with internal teams for data validation and quality checks
- Follow up with clients for data clarification and project-related inputs
- Ensure proper documentation and record maintenance for ongoing projects
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of data scraping tools and web data extraction techniques
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python
- Understanding of SQL for data querying and database management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; exposure to Tableau or Power BI is a plus
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
- Good communication and documentation skills
