Position Summary
· We are looking for a technically sharp and commercially driven Electrical Sales Engineer to spearhead the growth of our Drives, VFD, and Panel Solutions business. This role sits at the intersection of technical consultancy and B2B sales — you will work directly with plant engineers, OEMs, and project consultants to specify, propose, and close drive-based solutions across industrial applications.
· You will be the face of our drives portfolio (Danfoss, Siemens, CG, Bonfiglioli, and Rockwell Allen-Bradley) in the market, responsible for generating demand, conducting application studies, preparing technical offers, and managing key accounts from inquiry through commissioning support.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Sales & Business Development
· Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities for VFDs, AC/DC drives, soft starters, servo drives, and drive-based control panels across industrial and infrastructure segments.
· Conduct application studies to recommend optimal drive sizing, configuration, and control topology for customer processes (pumps, fans, conveyors, compressors, mixers, extruders, etc.).
· Prepare and present technical-commercial proposals, BOQs, and competitive pricing for projects involving standalone drives and integrated panel solutions.
· Drive revenue growth across OEM accounts, end-user plants, EPCs, and government/PSU procurement channels including GeM (Government e-Marketplace) tenders.
· Map the territory for replacement, retrofit, and energy-saving drive opportunities at existing industrial plants.
Technical Expertise & Solution Design
· Serve as the technical authority for VFD selection across the company’s multi-brand portfolio: Danfoss VLT/VACON, Siemens SINAMICS, CG drives, Bonfiglioli, and Allen-Bradley PowerFlex.
· Design and specify VFD-based control panel solutions — including panel layout, component selection (MCBs, contactors, I/O modules, HMI), harmonic filters, dV/dt filters, braking resistors, and communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, EtherNet/IP).
· Provide pre-sales technical support: motor-drive compatibility checks, cable sizing calculations, harmonic analysis, and energy savings projections.
· Support commissioning teams with drive parameterisation, fault diagnostics, and application-specific tuning when required.
Account Management & Market Intelligence
· Manage a portfolio of key industrial accounts, maintaining regular engagement through technical visits, product demonstrations, and solution workshops.
· Track competitor activity, pricing trends, and new product launches across the drives and panel market in Central India and adjacent territories.
· Coordinate with OEM partners (Danfoss, Siemens, Rockwell, etc.) for joint calls, training sessions, factory visits, and co-selling initiatives.
· Maintain CRM records, sales pipeline, and weekly/monthly reporting to the Division Head.
Post-Sales & Service Coordination
· Ensure smooth handoff to execution and commissioning teams post-order, including panel GA drawing approvals and delivery coordination.
· Handle warranty claims, drive replacements, and escalations in coordination with OEM service desks.
· Collect application feedback and field data to refine future proposals and solution standards.
Qualifications:
· B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or EEE.
· Any graduate with relevant industrial sales experience may also apply.
· Minimum 2–3 years of experience in industrial sales, technical sales, or engineering product sales.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Prior experience selling to industrial plants.
· Familiarity with GeM portal bidding processes and government procurement protocols (GFR 2017).
· Exposure to PLC/SCADA-integrated drive systems (Rockwell, Siemens TIA Portal).
· Energy audit or BEE certification is a strong plus.
· Experience with industrial communication protocols: Modbus RTU/TCP, Profibus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP, BACnet.

Requirements
