We are looking for an experienced Power BI Reporting Specialist to strengthen our financial and operational reporting processes. In this role, you will build interactive and maintainable reports, primarily connecting to web services — mostly via OData — as the main data source.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards tailored to business units' needs
- Establish data connections and build data models using web services, particularly OData
- Perform data cleaning, transformation, and integration using Power Query (M language)
- Develop DAX formulas, including calculated columns, measures, and complex business logic
- Prepare reports aligned with financial reporting requirements (balance sheet, income statement, budget-vs-actual comparisons, cash flow, etc.)
- Optimize data model performance and improve report load times
- Manage report publishing, sharing, access permissions, and scheduled data refresh in Power BI Service
- Maintain existing reports, troubleshoot issues, and update them according to new requirements
- Collaborate with business units — especially Finance — to analyze reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Required Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years of experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Advanced knowledge of DAX (calculated columns, measures, time intelligence functions, filter context management, etc.)
- Experience with data transformation using Power Query (M language)
- Hands-on experience connecting to data sources via web services, particularly the OData protocol
- Knowledge of data modeling (star schema, relational data models)
- Familiarity with financial reporting concepts (balance sheet, income statement, budget/actual analysis, KPI tracking, etc.)
- SQL knowledge (a plus)
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Additional Qualifications
- Power BI certification (e.g., PL-300)
- Experience working with REST APIs or other types of web services
- Experience with integrated reporting for ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, etc.)
- Knowledge of Power Automate or Power Apps
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
