Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Control
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per schedule.
- Monitor production efficiency and productivity.
- Coordinate with Planning, Stores, Maintenance, and Quality departments.
- Minimize production downtime and process interruptions.
2. Team Management
- Lead and supervise production supervisors, operators, and workers.
- Allocate manpower effectively.
- Conduct shift meetings and daily production reviews.
- Provide training and skill development to production employees.
- Monitor employee discipline and attendance.
3. Quality Management
- Ensure products are manufactured according to approved specifications.
- Coordinate with Quality department for process and product quality.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
- Reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
4. Safety, Health & Environment
- Ensure compliance with EHS requirements.
- Promote safe working practices on the shop floor.
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Investigate production-related incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by all employees.
5. Process Improvement
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
- Reduce wastage, scrap, and production costs.
- Identify process improvement opportunities.
