Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and proactive In-House Architect cum Project Coordinator who can support the company across design coordination, drawing review, site execution, consultant management, and basic project management.
The role requires someone who can bridge the gap between design intent and on-site execution, while also helping track timelines, follow-ups, approvals, vendor coordination, and project progress.
The ideal candidate should have strong architectural knowledge, good site understanding, coordination skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a disciplined and organized manner.
Key Responsibilities1. Architectural Design Coordination
- Coordinate with external architects, interior designers, structural consultants, MEP consultants, landscape consultants, and other design stakeholders.
- Review architectural drawings, layouts, elevations, sections, GFC drawings, and detail drawings.
- Ensure drawings are aligned with the project brief, design intent, site conditions, brand/operator requirements, and statutory norms.
- Identify design discrepancies, missing details, and clashes between architectural, structural, MEP, interior, and services drawings.
- Maintain a proper drawing register with revision numbers, dates, approvals, and issue status.
2. Project Management & Tracking
- Assist in preparing and maintaining project trackers, work schedules, design deliverable schedules, and action plans.
- Track pending drawings, consultant inputs, site decisions, vendor submissions, approvals, and management decisions.
- Follow up with consultants, vendors, contractors, and site teams to ensure timely closure of tasks.
- Support the project team in monitoring timelines, work progress, and critical dependencies.
- Prepare regular progress updates, coordination notes, MOMs, and pending-action reports for management review.
- Highlight delays, coordination gaps, site issues, and bottlenecks to senior management in advance.
3. Site Coordination & Execution Support
- Visit site regularly to check whether work is being executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and design intent.
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and vendors for design clarifications and execution-related issues.
- Resolve site-level architectural issues in consultation with consultants and senior management.
- Ensure quality of finishes, proportions, materials, mock-ups, and detailing is maintained at site.
- Support in checking work fronts, sequencing, site readiness, and execution priorities.
4. Consultant & Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with consultants for timely release of drawings, technical details, and design clarifications.
- Review vendor shop drawings, technical submittals, samples, mock-ups, and material proposals.
- Ensure vendor submissions are aligned with approved design, specifications, and project requirements.
- Support procurement and project teams in vendor evaluation from a design, technical, and execution perspective.
- Track approvals for materials, finishes, mock-ups, and shop drawings.
5. Hospitality / Commercial Project Support
- Support design and execution coordination for hotel, commercial, mixed-use, and premium development projects.
- Understand operator/brand requirements and ensure coordination with architectural, interior, MEP, and specialist consultants.
- Assist in room mock-ups, finish selections, BOQ inputs, design detailing, and project handover documentation.
- Coordinate design decisions with the larger project timeline and execution strategy.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain project documentation including drawing logs, MOMs, issue trackers, approval trackers, vendor submission trackers, and site observation reports.
- Prepare presentation material, design notes, progress summaries, and internal review documents when required.
- Ensure all latest drawings and documents are properly filed, shared, and communicated to relevant teams.
7. Approvals & Compliance Support
- Coordinate with liaison consultants for statutory drawings and approvals where required.
- Ensure architectural coordination supports compliance with applicable building codes, fire norms, accessibility standards, and local regulations.
- Support documentation required for approvals, consultant reviews, operator reviews, and management presentations.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of architectural design, planning, detailing, and construction drawings.
- Good understanding of project execution, site coordination, and construction sequencing.
- Ability to read and coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, interior, and services drawings.
- Strong follow-up and project tracking skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Knowledge of MS Project / Excel trackers / PowerPoint / Revit / SketchUp / Photoshop / Lumion will be an advantage.

Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized institute.
- Minimum 3–6 years of relevant experience in architecture, design coordination, site coordination, or project management.
- Experience in hotels, commercial buildings, premium residential, mixed-use developments, or large-scale projects will be preferred.
- Prior experience with a developer, architecture firm, PMC, hotel project, or construction company will be an advantage.
