Job Summary
We are seeking a Software Engineer with experience in Siemens WinCC and SCADA systems to design, develop, implement, and maintain industrial automation and visualization solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with automation, electrical, commissioning, and project teams to deliver reliable SCADA applications for manufacturing, utilities, infrastructure, and process industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and develop SCADA applications using Siemens WinCC.
- Create and maintain HMI screens, graphics, alarms, trends, reports, and dashboards.
- Integrate SCADA systems with Siemens PLCs (S7-1200, S7-1500, S7-300/400) and third-party controllers.
- Develop communication interfaces using OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP, Profinet, Profibus, and other industrial protocols.
- Perform system testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve SCADA, HMI, communication, and integration issues.
- Configure alarm management, historical data collection, reporting, and data archiving solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop technical solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, user manuals, functional design specifications, and test reports.
- Support system upgrades, migrations, patches, and cybersecurity compliance activities.
- Provide technical support during project execution and post-deployment support.
Job Role
The Software Engineer – WinCC & SCADA will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of SCADA projects, including:
- Requirement analysis and system design.
- SCADA application development and configuration.
- PLC-SCADA integration.
- Testing and validation.
- Site commissioning and customer support.
- Performance optimization and maintenance of deployed systems.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with Siemens WinCC (Professional, Unified, or WinCC OA).
- Experience with Siemens TIA Portal.
- Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
- Strong understanding of SCADA architecture and HMI development.
- Experience with OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP, Profibus, and Profinet communications.
- Database knowledge (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL).
- Understanding of industrial networking and cybersecurity principles.
- Experience in troubleshooting automation and control systems.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as VBScript, C#, PowerShell, or WinCC scripting is preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 2–8 years of experience in SCADA/HMI development and industrial automation projects.
- Experience in manufacturing, utilities, oil & gas, water treatment, energy, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with WinCC Unified or WinCC OA.
- Knowledge of Industrial IoT, MES, and Industry 4.0 solutions.
- Familiarity with virtualization environments and cloud connectivity.
- Exposure to ISA-95, ISA-88, and industrial cybersecurity standards.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
