Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and verify their identity.
- Review doctor’s orders to understand testing requirements.
- Determining the best method for collecting blood.
- Gathering materials for testing, including needles, vials, and other equipment.
- Collect blood samples by performing venipunctures and finger sticks.
- Label all samples according to outlined procedures and policies.
- Maintain lab equipment in a clean and safe manner.
- Record tests that were performed and blood samples taken into databases.
- Transport samples in a timely manner and in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.
- Explain tests to patients and answer any questions they might have.
- Evaluating abnormal testing results to determine whether to collect additional samples. Complete all work in accordance with outlined clinic and laboratory guidelines, and requirements.
What is the profile of the person who will be successful in this role?
- Proficiency in verbal communication – English and Kannada/Hindi.
- Any local language proficiency is an added advantage.
- Qualification: DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology) / B.Sc.(MLT).
- Experience – 01 year to 2 years.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development and the ability to assess data regarding the patient’s status and provide care.
- Demonstrated potential ability to perform the essential functions as outlined above. Able to work accurately and with minimal supervision.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to plan & organize one’s work schedule effectively.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
Experience:
- Phlebotomy: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- KSPC- Karnataka State Pharmacy Council (Preferred)
