Job Overview
Orange Health Labs is hiring Junior Lab Technicians in Gurugram to support our diagnostic laboratory operations.
The role is suitable for DMLT, BMLT, B.Sc. MLT and Medical Laboratory Technology graduates who want to develop their skills in a professional diagnostic setup.
As a Junior Lab Technician, you will be responsible for the correct handling and processing of patient samples, performing routine laboratory investigations, operating diagnostic equipment, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring test results are delivered accurately and within the required turnaround time.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Handle incoming patient specimens and verify sample details before processing.
- Perform pre-analytical activities such as sample sorting, centrifugation, separation, aliquoting and storage.
- Process samples for routine investigations in Biochemistry, Hematology and Clinical Pathology.
- Perform laboratory tests using appropriate manual techniques and automated systems.
- Operate laboratory instruments and analyzers according to established procedures.
- Perform routine checks of instruments and report equipment abnormalities to the appropriate team.
- Run and monitor quality control samples as per laboratory requirements.
- Review test processes carefully to minimize errors, repeat testing, and sample rejection.
- Ensure reports and laboratory records are maintained correctly.
- Escalate technical issues, sample-related concerns, or unusual test observations to senior team members.
- Follow laboratory SOPs and maintain compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Handle biological specimens responsibly and follow biomedical waste disposal procedures.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and organization of the assigned work area.
- Coordinate with senior technicians and laboratory supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Complete assigned testing within the required TAT (Turnaround Time).

Candidate Requirements
We are looking for candidates who have:
- DMLT / BMLT / B.Sc. MLT / Medical Laboratory Technology qualification.
- Strong understanding of basic diagnostic laboratory procedures.
- Academic or practical exposure to Biochemistry, Hematology and Clinical Pathology.
- Knowledge of sample collection, processing, centrifugation and aliquoting.
- Familiarity with automated laboratory analyzers is preferred.
- Understanding of laboratory SOPs, Quality Control (QC) and safety procedures.
- Good attention to detail while handling patient samples and laboratory data.
- Ability to maintain accuracy while working with high sample volumes.
- Willingness to learn new laboratory processes, instruments, and technologies.
- Ability to work effectively with technicians, supervisors, and other laboratory teams.
Freshers with relevant MLT qualifications can also apply.
Work Environment
This is a hands-on laboratory role in a fast-moving diagnostic environment. The successful candidate should be comfortable working with patient samples, following standardized processes, and maintaining consistent quality even during high-volume periods.
The position requires flexibility to work rotational shifts, weekends and rotational weekly offs depending on laboratory requirements.
