Job Summary.
We are seeking a qualified and responsible Industrial Bio-Medical Plant Operation In-Charge to manage the day-to-day operations of a bio-medical waste treatment facility, ensuring safe handling, processing, statutory compliance, and uninterrupted plant operations as per PCB, CPCB, and biomedical waste management rules.
Key Responsibilities.
- Oversee daily operations of the bio-medical waste treatment plant (incinerator, autoclave, shredder, ETP, utilities, etc.).
- Ensure proper collection, segregation, treatment, and disposal of bio-medical waste as per BMW Rules.
- Monitor plant equipment performance and ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Maintain compliance with APPCB / SPCB, CPCB, and statutory regulations.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, PPE usage, and infection control measures.
- Manage plant manpower, shift scheduling, and operator activities.
- Maintain daily operation logs, records, manifests, and statutory registers.
- Coordinate with compliance, EHS, and quality teams for audits and inspections.
- Handle emergency situations, breakdowns, and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper chemical handling, emissions control, and effluent treatment.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections and reporting.
Eligibility & Requirements.
- Education: Diploma / BE / B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical / Environmental Engineering).
- Experience: 4–8 years in Bio-Medical Waste Treatment Facility (CBWTF) / Industrial Waste Management / EHS Operations.
- Strong knowledge of Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, pollution control norms, and plant operations.
- Experience in handling incineration, autoclaving, shredding, and ETP/STP operations.
Preferred Skills.
- Knowledge of CPCB & APPCB guidelines.
- Safety, EHS, and infection control awareness.
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, reporting, compliance documentation).
- Leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts and handle emergency situations.
