Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HVAC Project Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, planning, execution, and management of HVAC projects from conception through commissioning. The role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, architects, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management
- Plan, schedule, and manage HVAC projects to ensure timely completion within budget.
- Prepare project forecasts, cost estimates, and resource allocation plans.
- Monitor project progress and address potential delays or risks.
HVAC Design & Engineering
- Design HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping networks, ventilation systems, and equipment selection.
- Develop engineering calculations, layouts, and technical specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and other engineering disciplines for seamless project integration.
- Communicate project updates, milestones, and technical information to stakeholders.
- Attend project meetings and provide technical guidance when required.
Procurement & Technical Support
- Manage procurement activities for HVAC equipment, materials, and spare parts.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and support supplier selection.
- Provide technical assistance and resolve engineering queries during project execution.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare, review, and approve technical documents, drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Maintain project records and ensure proper documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Installation, Testing & Commissioning
- Supervise HVAC installation activities and ensure adherence to approved designs.
- Oversee testing, balancing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
- Verify system performance and ensure successful project handover.
Sustainability & Quality Assurance
- Assess system efficiency and recommend energy-saving and environmentally sustainable solutions.
- Ensure installation and maintenance activities meet established quality standards.
- Conduct inspections and audits to maintain project quality.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles, equipment selection, and project execution.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and HVAC design software is preferred.
- Understanding of applicable HVAC codes, standards, and safety regulations.
