Job Responsibilities:
- Set up and install dies in presses, ensuring alignment and proper function according to production specifications.
- Adjust machine settings, including pressure, temperature, and feed rate, to optimize production efficiency and quality.
- Perform regular inspections of dies and presses to identify wear, damage, or potential issues that could affect production.
- Conduct test runs to verify the setup and make necessary adjustments to achieve desired part specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with die setups, including misalignment, material jams, or inconsistent part quality.
- Work closely with machine operators to ensure they understand the setup and operating procedures for each production run.
- Maintain detailed records of die setups, adjustments, and maintenance activities for future reference.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and perform preventive maintenance on dies and presses.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures during the setup and operation of die equipment.
- Continuously monitor production output to ensure parts meet quality standards and make adjustments as needed to maintain consistency.
