Job Summary
The Purchase Executive (Mechanical) is responsible for procurement of mechanical materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects. The role ensures timely availability of materials while maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Sourcing
- Source and procure mechanical materials such as HVAC items, piping, pumps, valves, and equipment
- Float RFQs, collect quotations, and prepare comparative statements
- Negotiate price, delivery terms, and payment conditions with suppliers
2. Vendor Management
- Identify and develop new vendors and maintain supplier database
- Evaluate vendor performance based on cost, quality, and delivery timelines
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers for smooth operations
3. Purchase Order & Documentation
- Prepare Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO)
- Maintain records of quotations, POs, invoices, and delivery challans
- Ensure all procurement complies with company policies and audit requirements
4. Coordination & Site Support
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and stores for material requirements
- Track delivery schedules and ensure timely supply to project sites
- Resolve issues related to shortages, delays, or quality rejections
5. Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor stock levels and avoid shortages or excess inventory
- Analyze market trends and suggest cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain MIS reports, purchase trackers, and cost analysis reports
Required Skills
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Knowledge of mechanical materials and construction equipment
- Understanding of BOQ, technical drawings, and specifications
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Tally/Oracle)
- Good communication and coordination skills
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in construction / EPC / MEP projects
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting systems
- Ability to handle multiple project sites and deadlines

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
