This hands-on role is a key leader to enable a 3-year program of system consolidation. The Manager-Engineering is responsible for ensuring that milestones are clearly understood and documented, and software development teams deliver high quality products and enhancements efficiently, predictably, and sustainably, focusing on resolving business problems/goals. They remove obstacles, facilitate effective collaboration, and support teams in meeting their delivery commitments and delivering value. Engineering Managers act as the connective tissue between engineering, product, and business stakeholders, ensuring transparency, alignment, and continuous improvement.
Delivery Planning & Execution
Oversee and facilitate the end-to-end delivery of software features, services, or platforms from discovery through deployment‑to‑end delivery of software features, services, or platforms from discovery through deployment. Track and manage dependencies, risks, and issues across squads and functions, feeding into central logs and steering board packs as required. Drive the delivery roadmap in partnership with Head of Products and Technical Leads.
Stakeholder Communication & Transparency
Provide clear, consistent communication on progress, risks, and priorities. Support product and engineering leaders with data driven forecasting. Ensure that stakeholders have full visibility without disrupting team focus.
Team Enablement & Facilitation
Cultivate strong, autonomous, high performing teams by promoting good engineering practices. Facilitate workshops, and collaborative planning sessions. Remove impediments that block progress to the delivery of core program milestones —both within the team and at organisational level. Facilitate and coordinate multiple streams across IT and business functions, including preparation of ‘go-live’ and support of hyper care
Governance, Standards & Compliance
Support PMO and senior leaders with creation of steering committee presentations. Ensure teams follow organisational quality, security, and engineering standards. Support coordination around audits, compliance checks, and release readiness activities.
Cross Team Coordination‑Team Coordination
Assist with managing cross team dependencies and facilitate alignment across multiple squads. Partner with architects, engineers, and product leaders to coordinate platform‑wide initiatives.

Proven hands-on experience delivering complex software products or platforms.
- Proven experience in delivering complex digital transformation programmes using Agile principles
- Strong understanding of modern Engineering practices, and flow-based value creation by engineering teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyse data and use metrics to guide decisions.
- Proven ability to facilitate cross-functional discussions, interactive workshops, and team ceremonies to drive alignment and outcomes.
