Job Summary
Director - GBS Incentive & Funding Programs will provide strategic oversight and operational leadership for South Africa’s Global Business Services (GBS) sector incentive and funding programs, including the dtic GBS Incentive Scheme, the DEDAT Jobs Fund, and other GBS aligned initiatives. This role ensures structured delivery, compliance
Key Responsibilities
GBS Program Oversight Lead execution of GBS incentive and funding programs, ensuring alignment with government priorities and organizational strategy
Stakeholder Engagement Liaise with dtic, DEDAT officials, provincial departments, and industry partners to build confidence and secure approvals
Application Management Oversee preparation and submission of funding applications, ensuring compliance with eligibility criteria and deadlines
Manage reporting and site visits
Financial Stewardship Monitor incentive payouts, matched funding obligations, and ROI metrics to optimize program value
Team Leadership Guide cross-functional teams, ensuring operational efficiency and delivery of job creation targets
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or Economics; postgraduate qualification preferred.
7+ years of experience in program management, compliance, or government-funded initiatives
Proven track record in stakeholder management with senior government and industry officials.
Strong knowledge of GBS sector dynamics, incentive schemes, and B-BBEE compliance
Expertise in risk management, audits, and reporting frameworks
