To manage procurement of materials, services, and equipment required for construction projects, ensuring timely availability, cost efficiency, quality compliance, and proper vendor coordination.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Vendor Management
- Source, negotiate, and finalize vendors for construction materials and services
- Obtain and compare quotations to ensure best price, quality, and delivery terms
- Develop and maintain a reliable vendor database
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of materials
Purchase Operations
- Prepare Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO)
- Follow up on pending orders and ensure on-time delivery to site
- Coordinate with site team for material requirements and schedules
- Ensure materials received match specifications and approved samples
Cost Control & Compliance
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts to reduce procurement costs
- Ensure purchases are within approved budgets
- Ensure procurement follows company policies and approval hierarchies
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain proper records of POs, GRNs, invoices, and vendor bills
- Coordinate with accounts department for invoice processing and payments
- Prepare purchase reports, rate comparison statements, and MIS
Quality & Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with stores/site team for material inspection and inventory tracking
- Address quality issues, shortages, or damages with vendors
- Support audits and internal controls related to procurement
Required Qualifications
- Graduate / Diploma (preferably in Supply Chain, Commerce, or Civil)
- 3 years of experience in purchase/procurement (construction/real estate preferred)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Knowledge of construction materials (cement, steel, electrical, plumbing, finishing items)
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/Tally (preferred)
- Analytical and cost-control mindset
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
