Job Summary
The Injection Blow Molding (IBM) Manager is responsible for leading and managing the complete Injection Blow Molding production operations to ensure the achievement of production targets, quality standards, machine efficiency, cost optimization, and safety compliance. The role focuses on continuous process improvement, manpower management, preventive maintenance coordination, and customer satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management
- Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Ensure achievement of production targets with optimum machine utilization.
- Monitor OEE, machine efficiency, productivity, and downtime.
- Optimize cycle time and improve production output.
- Ensure adherence to production planning and dispatch schedules.
Process Optimization
- Develop and optimize Injection Blow Molding process parameters.
- Conduct process trials for new products and mold validation.
- Reduce rejection, scrap, and material wastage.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Quality Control
- Ensure production meets customer specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with QA/QC for process validation and CAPA implementation.
- Analyze production defects and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain GMP and quality documentation.
Team Management
- Lead Production Engineers, Supervisors, Operators, and Helpers.
- Prepare manpower planning and shift allocation.
- Conduct employee training on machine operation, safety, SOPs, and quality.
- Evaluate employee performance and develop team capabilities.
Machine & Maintenance
- Coordinate with Maintenance Department for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ensure optimum machine availability.
- Monitor mold condition and coordinate repairs with Tool Room.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with EHS standards and company safety policies.
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, BRC, GMP, and customer audit requirements.
Cost Control
- Monitor production cost, power consumption, and material utilization.
- Improve productivity while minimizing operational costs.
Reporting
- Prepare daily production reports, rejection reports, OEE reports, downtime analysis, and MIS.
- Present production performance to management.
Desired Candidate ProfileEducation
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Plastic Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Production Engineering.
Experience
- 8–15 years of experience in Plastic Packaging Manufacturing.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong experience in Injection Blow Molding (IBM) machines.

The Injection Blow Molding Engineer is responsible for operating, setting, monitoring, and optimizing Injection Blow Molding machines to achieve production targets while maintaining product quality, machine efficiency, and safety standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Operations
- Operate and monitor Injection Blow Molding machines.
- Perform machine setup, mold changeover, and process parameter setting.
- Achieve daily production targets.
- Minimize downtime and ensure maximum machine utilization.
Process Control
- Optimize machine parameters to improve cycle time and productivity.
- Conduct process troubleshooting and corrective actions.
- Assist in new product development and process validation.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure products meet customer specifications.
- Monitor rejection rates and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with QA for in-process inspections.
Machine Maintenance
- Perform routine machine inspections.
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Maintain molds and auxiliary equipment in good condition.
Documentation
- Maintain production records and machine logs.
- Prepare shift reports, rejection reports, and downtime reports.
- Record production parameters and process changes.
Safety
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately.
Desired Candidate ProfileEducation
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Plastic Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Production Engineering.
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in Injection Blow Molding production within the Plastic Packaging industry.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
