Role Description The Order Sourcing Head – Apparel Exports will lead end-to-end order sourcing activities for international apparel buyers especially in Scandinavian countries . This full-time, on-site role is based in tirupur and involves identifying and developing new export customers of order value 50 lakhs/month , managing existing client accounts, and securing profitable orders. The role includes coordinating with buyers to understand product requirements, negotiating prices and terms, and overseeing sampling and approvals. The Order Sourcing Head will work closely with merchandising, production, and logistics teams to ensure accurate order processing, on-time delivery, and adherence to quality and compliance standards. Responsibilities also include monitoring market trends, analyzing sales and margin performance, preparing regular reports, and maintaining strong, professional communication with all stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong Order Management and Order Processing skills to handle end-to-end export order cycles efficiently.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to build and maintain relationships with international buyers and internal teams.
- Robust Analytical Skills to review demand, pricing, margins, and capacity, and to support data-driven sourcing decisions.
- Proven experience in apparel exports, merchandising, or sourcing within the garment industry.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage multiple orders simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines.
- Familiarity with export documentation, Incoterms, and basic logistics processes is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile/Fashion, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other basic business software for reporting and tracking orders.
