Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Production Engineer for Press Shop and Weld Shop operations in the automobile industry. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth production activities, maintaining quality standards, achieving production targets, and improving productivity while following safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and control daily production activities in Press Shop and Weld Shop.
Ensure production targets are achieved as per planning schedules.
Supervise machine operations, manpower utilization, and process flow.
Maintain production quality standards and reduce rejection/rework.
Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Tool Room departments.
Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Monitor OEE, downtime, cycle time, and production losses.
Ensure adherence to safety, 5S, and company policies.
Prepare daily production reports and maintain production records.
Train and guide operators for process compliance and quality requirements.
Support new product development and production trials when required.
Required Skills
Knowledge of Press Shop and Weld Shop operations.
Understanding of production planning and process control.
Familiarity with automotive manufacturing standards.
Knowledge of quality tools, Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing.
Ability to handle manpower and shop floor activities.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Basic knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.
Preferred Candidate Profile
3–5 years of experience in automobile manufacturing.
Experience in sheet metal, press components, or welding processes.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to work in shifts and handle production pressures effectively.
